The new AI will assist in solving puzzles, suggesting tactics for boss battles, and identifying the optimal build of weapons and equipment. NVIDIA has unveiled Project G-Assist, a personal assistant aimed at simplifying the gaming experience by eliminating tedious routines. At its core, the program features self-learning neural networks that analyze a player’s actions throughout the game. It appears as a floating chat window (which will later become a full overlay) where players can type a question and receive an immediate response.
The functionality of the program was demonstrated using the basic survival game ARK | Survival Ascended, where the neural network expedited the assembly of essential items and weapons, and also identified nearby dinosaurs. Additionally, the software can advise on the most effective distribution of skill points, provide guidance on gameplay, and assist with challenging puzzles.

Project G-Assist examines all active processes in real-time and aligns them with the computer’s specifications. In Cyberpunk 2077, for instance, the AI recommends performance enhancements by toggling specific options in the game settings. The software can also show graphs depicting performance metrics, peak loads, and component overclocking directly in the chat window.
While the release date for NVIDIA’s Project G-Assist remains undisclosed, it is designed to function exclusively with the high-performance RTX series graphics cards.
