Duke Nukem Forever
A game that has endured so much adversity during the development process that it is time to enter the record books. Perhaps the game was expected to be too much, and as a result, there was a certain degree of disappointment. Nevertheless, many fans of the series note that Duke Nukem Forever is not so bad and definitely worth playing once.

Fallout 2
Another timeless toy for nostalgic gamers. At one time, the game left an indelible mark in the hearts. Players became part of a post-apocalyptic world and enjoyed roaming the wasteland in search of secrets, hidden places, and easter eggs. Here you could become whoever you wanted, do whatever you wanted, and then clean up the consequences of all this lawlessness.
The game world of Fallout 2 was fictional, but as you got to know it, you had to be convinced of its realism more and more often. The names of the heroes, the names of the cities have already become painfully familiar. And this is the catchphrase | “War. War never changes” will definitely be recognized by Fallout fans.
Warcraft III | Reign of Chaos
If we go back in time, then this masterpiece from Blizzard Entertainment is worth mentioning. The sequel to the second part, which was already popular at that time, turned out to be decent, in any case, millions of sales and sky-high popularity ratings spoke volumes. In Warcraft III | Reign of Chaos, the gameplay remains the same, but something new has been added – there are two new races and unique hero units with special abilities.
We recommend the old classics here. Although in 2020 its re-release was released in the form of Warcraft III | Reforged, that game was subjected to too peremptory criticism from the players.
The Witcher 3 | Wild Hunt
If we take the best of the series, then it is impossible not to mention this game. The third Witcher has become probably the most popular of the franchise, and for good reason. The plot turned out to be really heartfelt, the characters of the books returned to the narrative, and the open world turned out to be alive and incredibly beautiful.
And the game has at least over 30 different endings, so you can have plenty of fun with variability here. And the combat was improved compared to the second part. We won’t talk about bugs, where without them in modern game development.
Diablo II
Where can we go without the legendary Dibla, who is still fondly remembered by fans? The most iconic part of the series, and in principle of the entire RPG genre. You find yourself in the dark and gloomy world of Sanctuary, which only induces a sense of hopelessness. Demons are taking over the land, and there is no escape from them. Only the hero can reach the end, who has to overcome hundreds of kilometers of roads and dungeons.
There are several classes of characters in the game with unique skills and weapons that suit them exclusively. There’s also a modern remaster, Diablo II | Resurrected. This game, despite the improved graphics, has received its share of angry reviews from loyal fans.
Grand Theft Auto
A series that gave us incredible adventures and feelings of criminal freedom. Here you could steal cars, engage in robbery, shoot at the police, or do something like that. There is also a coherent plot in the games of the franchise, which makes it possible to become a full-fledged participant in the criminal world.
It’s hard to single out the best part of the series, but you can fondly remember Vice City or San Andreas – full-fledged hits at the time of their release. The apotheosis of the series is probably considered to be Grand Theft Auto V, and fans are probably looking forward to the release of the sixth part.
Counter-Strike 1.6
If there’s one thing that’s going to last forever, it’s probably CS 1.6. Although CS:GO fans will definitely argue with me.)) A timeless classic that still holds its position in terms of simultaneous online. The game has gone through the decades, left behind other worthy games in the series, and retained its popularity.
The game was caught in the era of computer clubs, which means that the generation that sat there has beautiful memories. Asceticism, no crazy hardware demands, some kind of atmosphere and soul… Counter-Strike 1.6 is truly one Love for so many fans.
Heroes of Might and Magic 3
Well, what week did the astrologers announce? The third part is rightfully considered the best of the entire series, although the second one also turned out to be decent. A sweetheart, angular interface, really turn-based mechanics, and even its own economy. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 introduces new races, heroes and skills, magic and spells. Here, everyone is free to choose their tactics – pump troops, build a castle or achieve increased income.
In the end, it all came down to a constant lack of time. Whoever found the perfect balance won. A truly stunning and incredibly cohesive piece that probably revealed its own secret to eternal gaming youth.
Call of Duty
It’s hard to recommend any one game from this shooter franchise, the series had both popular masterpieces and completely average games. You can’t take one thing away – the franchise turned out to be very productive.
The series continues to live and evolve despite a constant stream of cynical comments. For fans of modernity, we can offer Call of Duty | Modern Warfare III from 2023, but there is a nuance – the game did not receive the most ambiguous reviews.
Star Wars Jedi | Survivor
The game will definitely appeal to fans of the Star Wars universe, and neutral gamers can be drawn in for many hours. The next sequel to the franchise was released in 2023 and managed to gain both positive and negative reviews. According to true Star Wars fans, the game turned out to be decent – rich in content and gives you the opportunity to freely explore the open world.
The outrage was mainly caused by technical bugs and performance problems in Star Wars Jedi | Survivor. And the requirements for computer hardware are still increased here – just a great option for those who want to test a new, ultra-cool build.
Assassin’s Creed
It’s also not easy to determine the winner here – each part has its own army of fans. In the years since the release of the first game, the saga has undergone changes, experienced ups and downs.
The plots varied, but the war between the Assassin Order and the Knights Templar seems to be eternal. In 2023, the 13th part of the franchise, Assassin’s Creed | Mirage, was released. The story here turned out to be shorter, but still worthy of attention.
Need for Speed | Most Wanted (2005)
For fans of the old guard, we can offer this part of the racing series, although today it is easy to find flaws in it. At that time, Need for Speed | Most Wanted probably broke many records in terms of popularity. Avid racers have been flirting with the game for years, tuning cool cars, looking for adventures in police chases.
There are rumors that a remake of this game is being prepared, but in the meantime, fans of modern grapha can be advised Need for Speed Unbound from 2022. The reviews, in general, are positive, the authors got nuts only for the boring plot and insipid characters.
Space Rangers HD | Revolution
The franchise about Space Rangers turned out to be so unique that no worthy analogues appeared to it. This is an RPG, a strategy, and an open space world. And just look at the text quests – all sorts of pincheks and others like them conveyed the simply amazing atmosphere of the game.
The feeling of nostalgia will be amused by the modern version, the game Space Rangers HD | Revolution. This is a re-release of the second part with interesting new content | quests, planetary battles, even a storyline.
Portal 2
A cool puzzle adventure game with great physics and gameplay that will be remembered for a long time. The essence of the plot is to get out of the labyrinth using a network of self-created portals. Portal 2 was addictive, satisfying, and stressful.
There were plenty of logical puzzles here, and Glados also cheered up with his humorous comments. In addition to the single-player campaign, the second part pleased with the presence of co-op.
Sid Meier’s Civilization III
The saga of turn-based strategy Civilization has firmly occupied its niche. With each new installment, the franchise has improved in game mechanics and gameplay. Perhaps the best game in the series, according to the fans themselves, can be considered Civilization III. Although this part turned out to be probably the most hardcore, it plays great, even years later.
I am pleased with the variability – there are several criteria for winning here, and you can become a winner in different areas. By now, Civilization VI has already been released, which in some points was inferior to the previous part, but still worthy of attention.
Syberia
We will not bypass the fans of quests. A great series with a great story story with mammoths, mechanical toys and a dream. The narrative has a soul, and everything here is imbued with very real feelings of love, compassion and loyalty.
We make difficult choices and follow our dreams, solving the mysteries of this amazing game world along the way. The series has grown to three parts, but it is the first Siberia that needs to start the journey.
