In World of Warcraft, an eternal global war rages on. However, its impact feels minimal as Blizzard often overlooks or revives characters, undermining previous narratives and conflicts. Notably, Mankrik’s wife, from a classic quest, has been given a new existence in the latest DLC.

What becomes of warriors who survive battles? It seems Azeroth is replete with priests, paladins, shamans, druids, and monks capable of healing nearly any injury.
Yet, some characters choose not to regenerate lost organs and limbs. For instance, Kargath Bladefist replaced his severed hand with an iron scythe. Moreover, characters with one eye or complete blindness are not uncommon.

The situation evidently breaches the principles of inclusivity. Consequently, Blizzard will present a character named Faerin Lothar. She is equipped with a prosthetic arm that bears a shield, and she is a dark-skinned, half-elf of noble descent. Faerin’s ancestry can be traced to Thoradin, the first chieftain of all humanity.
This information was unearthed by the participants in the alpha testing of The War Within expansion. A model of Faerin was also discovered, yet the specifics of her role in the plot remain unclear. There is speculation that she is the sister or great-aunt of King Anduin.
