A recent report has emerged regarding the acclaimed Hogwarts Legacy, developed by Warner Bros. and Avalanche Software.
Bloomberg’s reputable journalist Jason Schreier reports that Warner Bros. is developing a new iteration of the game, dubbed the “Director’s Cut.” Notably, the project is being spearheaded by Rocksteady, known for the Batman Arkham series and the recent Suicide Squad | Kill the Justice League.
As of now, details about the appearance of Hogwarts Legacy’s new version or its differences from the existing version remain undisclosed.
Here are Jason Schreier’s statements:
Many of the developers at Rocksteady Studios are now helping to develop a Director’s Cut version of Hogwarts Legacy. At the same time, according to my own people, the central developers are looking to introduce a new single-player game, which would return Rocksteady to its roots.
Indeed, according to recent statements by journalists, Rocksteady appears keen to return to its roots with single-player games, and the main developers are eager to unveil a new game to the company. This is welcome news given the disappointing outcome of Suicide Squad | Kill the Justice League.
Meanwhile, a portion of the team is engaged in developing a new version of Hogwarts Legacy, initially released in 2023 for consoles and PC.
Photo Mode, Talent Reset, and Cosmetics | A significant update has been released for Hogwarts Legacy
The update has made a previously PlayStation-exclusive quest about ghosts in Hogsmeade available across all platforms. The summer content update for Hogwarts Legacy was released on June 5 and 6, varying by platform.
The patch introduced a photo mode to the action RPG, providing players with a comprehensive toolkit for taking screenshots. Players can now select their character’s pose, modify picture contrast and clarity, add frames, and more.
Additionally, the update introduced a feature for resetting and redistributing talents, which, as the developers suggest, will enable players to experiment with different builds.
Additional features of the update encompass Azkaban prisoner attire and coat, Harry Potter-styled round-rimmed glasses, the Felix Felicis potion formula, the onyx hippogriff mount, and the lavender flying broom.
The creators of Hogwarts Legacy have granted access to the ghost quest in Hogsmeade across all platforms. This quest was formerly exclusive to PlayStation consoles.
