Electronic Arts has shared the details of the new Battlefield instalment in the latest financial report. The company’s head, Andrew Wilson, has played the shooter game and regards it as an “amazing service game.”
In March 2024, Motive Studio employees, known for the Dead Space remake, joined the development team responsible for the story campaign. Like its predecessors in the series, the new game will feature both single-player and multiplayer modes.
Currently, four teams are collaborating on the Battlefield project | Motive, DICE, Criterion, and Ripple Effect. The release is scheduled for post-April 2025.
It’s the largest team in Battlefield history. A few weeks ago, I was visiting the teams and I was delighted with what they showed and what we were able to play.
I’ve just spent a lot of time with the collective Battlefield team playing what they’re creating, and I can say it’s going to be another awesome service game.
