On April 9, Ubisoft opened pre-orders for the action game Star Wars Outlaws. It turned out that the game will have several editions, and the most expensive one will cost players from the United States $130, and European users – 140 euros.
The Ultimate Edition will include the game, various in-game bonuses, a Season Pass with two story expansions and an additional quest about Jabba the Hutt at release, three days of Early Access, as well as a digital art book.
Soon, online users noted that in Canada, the figure is even higher | the standard edition costs 90 Canadian dollars, and the Ultimate Edition costs 170 Canadian dollars.
This isn’t the first time this has happened in the country because of the local economy and currency, but some users were still surprised by the figure. At the same time, 170 Canadian dollars is equal to about 125 US dollars.
With this money, you can buy three or four other games.

Such practices must stop everywhere. For the extra dollars, users don’t get any special valuables, and the Season Pass is a lottery, since it is not yet known what will be included in it.

But users from other countries were also not happy with Outlaws’ prices, and they urged each other to wait for sales. Players recalled that it is not uncommon for Ubisoft games to go on discounts after a few weeks.
This is a Ubisoft game, so just wait a year to buy the Super Deluxe GOTY edition with all the DLC for $20.

Guys, this is a single-player game that isn’t going anywhere after release. Buy it at the holiday sales cheaper with all the upgrades.

Even if it wasn’t a Ubisoft game, it would still be crazy to pay $130 upfront for a game that no one has seen yet. It’s better to wait for the reviews and remember that Black Friday after the release is not so far away.

The digital max edition of Star Wars Outlaws has become one of the most expensive on the market. In December 2023, Ubisoft released Avatar | Frontiers of Pandora at the same price, but other publishers usually keep the prices of expanded editions of AAA games in the $100 range.
However, there are exceptions, such as Like a Dragon | Infinite Wealth Ultimate Edition ($110) and LEGO 2K Drive Awesome Rivals Edition ($120).
Star Wars Outlaws launches on August 30, and early access for Deluxe Edition buyers will begin three days early. On PC and Xbox Series, the game will also be available with a Ubisoft+ subscription, which costs $18 per month — the most expensive edition will be added to the service.
