A 15-minute gameplay segment from the cyberpunk-style battle royale game Off the Grid showcases the involvement of Neill Blomkamp, the director of District 9, in the game’s visual and narrative aspects, utilizing the latest Unreal Engine.

Gunzilla Games has revealed Off The Grid, a futuristic third-person shooter set in a cyberpunk dystopia.
The showcased gameplay comes from the game’s pre-release version, which is currently under development. Several international streamers have had the opportunity to “give it a try.” Off The Grid aims to enhance the traditional battle royale mechanics with a narrative plot, penned and directed by Neill Blomkamp, the filmmaker behind Chappie, Elysium, and District 9.
As stated on the official website, the game is slated for release in 2024.
