Cyberpunk 2077 game director Gabriel Amatangelo revealed in an interview for the Skill Up YouTube channel that in addition to patches with bug fixes, the action-RPG may receive several content updates in the future.
The developer stressed that they will become small as most of the team has started work on the sequel. What will be included in the upcoming updates and when they will be released is not reported. Amatangelo notes that everything depends on CD Projekt RED’s employment with the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
“If there is an opportunity and someone in the team is interested in it, then we will not resist. Maybe it will happen in the next couple of years.”
In April, CD Projekt RED reported that the studio was completely satisfied with the current state of Cyberpunk 2077. Amatengelo is the head of Project Orion (the codename for the sequel), while a team of 17 people is currently working on supporting the original game.
