Since Sony started actively porting its exclusive titles to PC, Bloodborne has arguably become the most desired game among those who prefer keyboard and mouse controls. Years later, Hidetaka Miyazaki, the head of FromSoftware, commented on the delay of the game.
Game designer Hidetaka Miyazaki is often asked about Bloodborne, and the last time he stated was that he was not in the right position to discuss the game and its potential future. However, PC Gamer managed to get a slightly more detailed answer this time.
Miyazaki is aware that his colleagues, such as producer Yasuhiro Kitao, are in favor of a PC port for the game. Yet, he acknowledges that expressing the same sentiment could lead to issues for him. Nonetheless, the game designer has conceded that he is certainly not opposed to the concept.
As a co-creator of Bloodborne, I would certainly like to see more players play it. Especially considering that this rather old game can get lost on outdated hardware. As with any game like this, it would be great if more players had access to this relic of the past. So I’m not against the port.

Previously, Miyazaki mentioned that Sony has the option to re-release Bloodborne independently, similar to what occurred with the Demon’s Souls remake, without needing FromSoftware’s involvement.
Although fans frequently call for Sony to revisit the franchise, the company has not yet addressed these appeals. Interestingly, the hardcore game surged in popularity following the May State of Play presentation, with users posting tens of thousands of messages about the remaster and sequel. In this context, the fan-made racing game Nightmare Kart, drawing inspiration from the iconic soulslike genre, was released.
Indeed, nearly a decade has elapsed since Bloodborne’s debut, and a remaster would be quite timely. It remains uncertain whether recent comments hint at an impending announcement for the game’s tenth anniversary or merely reflect musings. Nonetheless, it is encouraging to know that Bloodborne’s creator is open to the idea of developing a PC version.
The interview reaffirmed that Bloodborne’s future largely rests with Sony, yet the reasons for the company’s apparent disregard for the title remain unclear.
