Sightful is gearing up to launch the Spacetop G1 laptop, touted as the world’s first augmented reality laptop, distinguished by its lack of a conventional screen.
The Spacetop G1 comes with compact wired AR glasses tucked into the device’s top cover. These glasses feature dual OLED screens with Full HD resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate, conjuring a virtual display comparable to a 100-inch screen. This innovation offers users the ability to dive into their work or entertainment with the experience of a vast screen, all while retaining mobility.

The device boasts a robust Qualcomm Snapdragon QCS8550 processor, paired with an Adreno 740 graphics accelerator, 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128 GB of UFS3.1 internal storage. The Spacetop G1 is equipped with cutting-edge communication technologies like Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring swift and reliable connectivity.
It features an integrated microphone and speaker system, along with a webcam embedded in the laptop’s lid, offering an optimal setup for video conferencing. The device operates on SpaceOS, which appears to be a customized variant of Android, tailored for an augmented reality (AR) experience.
The manufacturer advertises an 8-hour battery life for the Spacetop G1, positioning it as an ideal partner for a busy day, be it filled with work or leisure activities. Reservations for this new product are available on the official website, although the price is not listed. However, insider sources suggest that it will retail for $1,900.
