Geoff Keighley, the organizer and host of Summer Game Fest 2024, has released a poster for the horror game Slitterhead by Bokeh Game Studio, established by Keiichiro Toyama, the creator of Silent Hill, Forbidden Siren, and Gravity Rush. The journalist also mentioned that the event, starting on June 8, will feature the first-ever gameplay reveal of the game.
Details on Slitterhead are still scarce. The game is set in a vast Asian metropolis, modeled after 1990s Hong Kong, where monsters that can blend in with humans serve as adversaries. Additionally, the game promises “unique mechanics” previously unseen, as declared after Toyama’s departure from Sony in 2021.
Toyama has described Slitterhead as a diverse project that straddles various genres. Bokeh Game Studios aims to craft a horror experience that simultaneously delivers repulsive visuals, nuanced psychology, and engaging action dynamics.
Slitterhead is under development for PC and consoles, although a comprehensive list of platforms has not yet been disclosed.
The horror game’s release date and platforms have not been announced yet.
