The other day, Christopher Sandberg, co-founder of Avalanche Studios, now head of Liquid Swords shared some details of his new game.
Similar to the 2015 Mad Max, the development prioritizes hand-to-hand and vehicular combat. Sandberg has brought in specialists to his studio who have experience in crafting car battles for Mad Max.
About… As for the spiritual successor… The game we [Liquid Swords] are working on will take car combat, hand-to-hand combat, and car customization to the next level. The team that created the car battles in Mad Max is now part of my studio.

Sandberg also shared a screenshot of his new project being developed on Unreal Engine 5:
Founded in late 2020, Liquid Swords aims to develop large-scale, spectacular action games with a primary focus on “entertaining players and providing them with complete freedom of action.”
